VA KADPA 는 연관된 서비스가 적절하게 우리 가족들에게 제공되도록 하기 위해 지역사회 봉사위원회 (Community Service Boards) 및 사례 관리자들과 긴밀하게 일합니다. VA KADPA는 장애인들과 그들의 가족들을 위해 통역 및 번역 서비스를 제공하고, 정부기관들과의 회의에서 장애인들과 그들의 가족들을 대변하며, 제공된 서비스들을 적절하게 조정해줍니다.

VA KADPA works with community organizations and government entities to ensure appropriate and relevant services are provided to our families. VA KADPA provides interpretation and translation services, represents and advocates for families at various meetings with government entities, and coordinates services to disabled individuals and their family members.

VA KADPA는 장애인들의 권리와 혜택에 대한 인지 및 이해를 촉진하기 위해 정보 교환, 교육 워크샵 및 세미나를 개최합니다. 이러한 활동을 통해 다뤄지는 주제들에는: Medicaid Waivers, 사회로의 진출 및 직업기회, 법적 문제들, 보호인제도, 재무관리, Special Needs Trust 등 입니다. 자원봉사자들은 여러가지 관련 기사들과 양식들을 한글로 번역하는 일도 하고 있습니다.

VA KADPA hosts and organizes information exchanges, educational workshops, and seminars to promote awareness and understanding of disabled peoples’ rights and benefits. The covered topics include Medicaid Waivers, community transition and job opportunities, guardianship, financial management, and Special Needs Trust. Volunteers also translate various articles and forms into Korean.

VA KADPA는 장애인들이 안전하고, 지원을 받는 환경안에서 사회화 되고, 일상생활에 필요한 기능을 습득하며, 성장할 수 있는 기회를 제공하고 있습니다. 이러한 활동의 궁극적인 목표는 이들이 좀 더 쉽게 사회로 진출하고, 사회생활에 적응 할 수 있도록 자신에 대한 표현과 자신을 지킬수 있는 능력을 신장시키는 것 입니다.

VA KADPA provides opportunities for members to socialize, learn skills, and grow in a supportive and safe environment. The goal is to increase self-expression and self-advocacy for better transition and adjustment to community living.
